semantik asik

SemanticLogo

hi guys welcome back to my blog:)
So kali ini kita akan mempelajari mengenai semantik, semantik adalah salah satu dari cabang ilmu linguistik yang akan saya pelajari lebih dalam. Tentu hal ini sangat menarik bukan? mari kita sama-sama menyimak ya:)

pengertian semantik menurut para ahli:
  1. Grifiths (2006:1) : semantics is the study of the "toolkit" for meaning: knowledge encoded in the vocabulary of the languange and in it's patterns for building more elaborate meanings, up to the level of sentence meanings.

sekian dulu ya guys pembahasan tentang semantik semoga bermanfaat:)

*don't forget to comment guys:)

    1. It’s because semantic learn about the meaning of a language and it is associated with pragmatik that learn about the meaning of a speech and sytax that learn about the structure, the third is related to each other.

    2. I will try to give the explanation dinda
Syntax is the study of sentence structure. The lesson that tries to explain what is meant by grammar in a language structure in terms of the rules used. The syntax uses trees (as in morphology) but trees that are constructed from words are not morphemes as in morphology. Words are the fundamental unit of sentence formation.
      Do u get it?

  14. good topic and supported with regular and interesting contents.but I don't understand about the type of structural semantics, can you explain it even easier and give an example!

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Structural semantics stems from the views of structural linguists pioneered by Saussure. Structuralists argue that every language is a system, a unique structural relationship consisting of units called structures. The structure is transformed into elements in the form of phonemes, morphemes, words, phrases, clauses, sentences, and discourses which divide them into phonological studies, morphology, syntax, and discourse.

      Hapus
    2. Okay nata thank you for the explanation..

      Hapus
    3. You're welcome key.
      Do u get my point?

    2. I think you know that, and now please you give me example about words that do not include imaginary or physical nouns ?

      Hapus
    3. first sorry reni, in this blog i just explain about semantic, you know that semantic is study about meaning in languange not about type of word.

      Hapus
  16. Hello nata, we have some topic. The point is, studying semantics is one way to help us understand each other's intentions, right? I hope we can learn together to improve our understanding of semantics. Keep spirit:)

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. But i wanna ask you about generatif semantics. What is the meaning of outer structure and the inner structure, within the generic semantics?

      Hapus
    2. external structure, namely the language elements in the form of words or sentences that sound like: and inner structure, that is the meaning which is inside the outer structure. This flow became famous with the emergence of Chomsky's book in 1957 which was later updated.

      Hapus
  17. It's such a good blog, but will be more better if you give example, and design more interest, it makes the reader easy to understand and happy :)

    1. I think we using semantic in all all of time.
Because everyday we communicate with other people.
And of course we should understand what they talkijg about.
Because semantic lear about the meaning of the word.
If we don't understand about the truth meaning it would be miss comkunication.
      Is bad right?

      Hapus
    2. So do you get my point gustin?

      Hapus
  22. I love your blog's theme! It's pretty neat. Semantics is the study of meaning. Can you explain about two types of meaning in semantics? thanks

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Extension meaning is the meaning which includes all the characteristics of the object or concept
(Kridalaksana, 2008: 148), emotive meaning is the meaning that arises due to it
the speaker's reaction or the speaker's attitude about what is thought or felt.

  28. From your post about descriptive semantics "konteks terkini contoh: (sekarang) juara: orang yang mendapat peringkat teratas. (sebelumnya) juara: pengatur atau pelerai dalam persabungan ayam."

What do you mean about newest context in this example and the before?

    Thanks

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. I mean the word "juara" in the past is (in bahasa) digunakan hanya untuk orang yang memenangkan pertandingan dalam persabungan ayam and the newest juara bermakna orang yang unggul/mendapat peringkat dalam suatu hal.
I think just it kak sel.
      Could you get my point?
*but first i'm so sorry if my explanation is bad

      Hapus
    2. Oooo I get it now. I thought it was unrelated. But I was reading it wrongly.
so can you give me another example?

  29. What does this even mean "semantik behaviorisme, makna berada dalam posisi di antara stimulus dan respon atau pertanyaan dan jawaban" And what is stimulus?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. "Semantik behaviorisme, makna berada dalan posisi antara stimulus dan respon" The meaning is determined by the situation which means determined by the environment. Therefore, meaning can only be understood if there is observable data in the environment of human experience. And stimulus is stimulator of body parts or other receptors to become active farah

    BalasHapus

    1. why connotative meanings can change from time to time? That is because we know that meaning of languange is change time to time so of course the meaning has change too❤

  31. Haii nataaa....
I want ask u, why semantic can only deal with two aspects? can you explain? Please answer, hehe

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Ok ririn i'll explain to you๐Ÿค“ Semantics is one of the important branches of linguistics, and deals with interpretation and meaning of the words, sentence structure, and symbols. It deals with the reading comprehension of the readers, in how they understand others and their interpretations. In addition, semantics constructs a relation between adjoining words and clarifies the sense of a sentence, whether the meanings of words are literal or figurative.
      Do u get my point?

  36. One possibility, a positive correlation, predicts that if a grammatical feature is diagnosed as being morphologically marked then it should also be semantically marked. This possibility follows from the assumption that features are interpreted as restrictions on denotations. The second possibility, a negative correlation, predicts that if a grammatical feature is diagnosed as being morphologically marked then it should be semantically unmarked. This systematic inconsistency follows from the assumption that features are interpreted as augmenting functions. In our exploration of number marking, we find that the negative correlation is not only theoretically consistent with the semantic literature (in particular Link, in: Bartsch etal. (eds.) Semantics and contextual expressions, 1983), but it is also more consistent with the empirical landscape (as noted by Sauerland, in: Young and Zhou (eds.) Proceedings of Semantics and linguistic theory SALT XIII 2008). As a result, the morphological diagnostics lend support to the view that plural features are interpreted as augmenting functions.
