Please answer the questions below briefly:
1. Give your own idea/opinions about:
a. Culture
The word "culture" derives from a French term, which in turn derives from the Latin "colere," which means to tend to the earth and grow, or cultivation and nurture. In my opinion, culture is a characteristic or habit of a group of people / tribe residing in a certain place. Generally, culture is symbolized as the identity of a nation or group of people. Culture encompasses religion, food, what we wear, how we wear it, our language, marriage, music, what we believe is right or wrong, how we sit at the table, how we greet visitors, etc.
b. Interculture
In my view, Interculture describes communities in which there is a deep understanding and respect for all cultures. Interculture communication focuses on the mutual exchange of ideas and cultural norms and the development of deep relationships. In an intercultural society, no one is left unchanged because everyone learns from one another and grows together.
c. Cross culture
In my mind, Cross-culture deals with the comparison of different cultures. In cross-cultural communication, differences are understood and acknowledged, and can bring about individual change, but not collective transformations. In cross-cultural societies, one culture is often considered “the norm” and all other cultures are compared or contrasted to the dominant culture.
d. Multiculture
I think, Multiculture refers to a society that contains several cultural or ethnic groups. People live alongside one another, but each cultural group does not necessarily have engaging interactions with each other. For example, in a multicultural neighborhood people may frequent ethnic grocery stores and restaurants without really interacting with their neighbors from other countries.
2. Give one example of cultural conflict and offer the solution for its adjustment!
people do not care about their own culture and tend to be attracted to outside cultures.
The solution is by instilling a love of the country from an early age, and preventing too many foreign cultures from entering.
3. How do you define:
a. Mosaic is a society in which ethnic groups retain their separate identities but together from the larger community.
b. Melting pot is a term coined from a turn-of-the-century play by Israel Zangwill. Its use has historically expressed a monocultural goal to fuse and assimilate peoples from various newand old immigrant groups into a new common American society based ondominant Anglo Western cultural ideals, values, language and customs.
c. Stereotype is aset of exaggerated and inaccurate. Generalizations about a group or category of people that is either favorable or unfavorable.
d. Prejudice is an unfavorable attitude toward any cate-gory or group of people based on asimple or an elaborate series of negative traits assumed to be uniformly distributed among the people toward whom one is antagonistics

4.Current Research on ICT in ELT (What can you draw for the current
research trend in media of ELT ?)
Creating and sharing content, While there’s much online content already out there for learners, some programmes and apps allow learners to produce their own content and share what they have created with others. Popular online sites like Quizizz and Socrative allow both teachers and students to create online games and play games that are shared by users from around the world. Websites like Canva allow teachers and learners to express their creativity through posters, social media memes and banners. Then there are mindmapping sites, comic-strip creation sites and movie-editing/movie-making sites. Using content-creation tools like these allow learners to use language creatively, and turn language practice into a fun and engaging activity. ELTons finalist Brick by Brick (StandFor/ FTD Educaçāo) is one such course for younger learners that has them creating and embarking on hands-on projects as they learn.
5.The Advantages of ICT in ELT (Define some advantages of ICT in ELT)
- Motivating Factor.
The Internet can act as a motivating tool for many students. Young people are very captivated with technology. Educators must capitalize on this interest, excitement, and enthusiasm about the Internet for the purpose of enhancing learning. For already enthusiastic learners, the Internet allows you to provide them with additional learning activities not readily available in the classroom.
- Fast Communication.
The Internet promotes fast communication across geographical barriers. Your students can join collaborative projects that involve students from different states, countries or continents. This type of learning experience was not possible before the Internet. This is a unique learning experience very essential for each of our students, as the world is becoming one big community.
- Cooperative Learning.
The Internet facilitates cooperative learning, encourages dialogue, and creates a more engaging classroom. For example, a LISTSER V for our class will allow your students to get involved in class discussions through e-mails in a way not possible within the four walls of the classroom.
- Locating Research Materials.
Apart from communication, research is what takes many people to the Internet. There are many more resources on the Internet than the school library can provide. We can encourage students to take advantage of this wealth of resources on the Internet for their research.
- Acquiring Varied Writing Skills
If students are required to publish their work on the Internet, they have to develop hypertext skills. These skills help students gain experience in non-sequential writings. Moreover, and since the Internet is open to all with access, students publishing their work on the Internet are forced to be mindful of their language and to write to non-expert audience.
6.Possible SPACE for Research (Try to find the possible topic for
research of media ICT in ELT)
Teaching English with Hand-held Devices
7.Concluding Remarks (make a conclusion from your own reading materials)
ICT is a form of advanced science technology must be optimized function, especially in the implementation of learning. ICT provides opportunities for students in the era of global competition needs to obtain adequate supplies. through innovative ICT-based learning can provide vast opportunities for students to hone and promote competence on an international scale. On the other hand, mental attitude and self-reliance in accessing any information necessary learning independently influence the value teaching student’s character it does not always depends with others. Mastering current tick is necessity for every human being inedible age. as well as in education, innovative learning, especially learning can be done by using the Internet to generate device-based learning ICT
